Dermatitis was observed in laboratory Beagle dogs reared in a farm for 3 months after importation from a commercial laboratory animal company of America. Grisly, the skin lesions were diffuse alopecia, mild exudation and crusts formation. No parasites were observed in scraping test. Three dogs were necropsied and examined histologically. Many mites were observed in the lesions with folliculitis. In the lesions, lymphocytes and plasma cells were mainly infiltrated. The hair follicles were mildly dilated and keratinization of epidermal cells were progressed. The size of the mites were 100 ¡¿ 15 §. They had four legs. No pathological lesions were detected in other organs and tissue.
